Burial of Japanese member of ABWA, narrator of “The Land of Sun Rising”

The funeral ceremony of the late Mrs. Kuniko Yamamura, the mother of Mohammad Babaei, the only Japanese martyr, was held on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Ansar Al-Hussein Mosque in Tehran.

The funeral ceremony for the late Koniko Yamamura, (also known by her Iranian name: Seba Babaei), Japanese member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the mother of a martyr in the Holy Defense (Iraq’s 8-year imposed war against Iran), was held by the presence of various sections of people and a group of officials in the Ansar Al-Hussein (a.s.) Mosque of Air Force Neighborhood of ​​Tehran. She was buried in section 45 of Behesht Zahra Cemetery.

The late Yamamura (Babaei) played a significant role in the establishment of Japanese radio of IRIB, accompanied the Iranian Paralympic convoy to the opening ceremony of the 2020 Paralympic as a flag bearer, and the narrator of the book “An Immigrant from the Land of Sun Rising” which has been reprinted and published many times.

Ms. Kuniko Yamamura was the mother of the only Japanese martyr of the Holy Defense. Mohammad, his 19-year-old son, in addition to being active during the Islamic Revolution of Iran, at the start of the Imposed War went to the fronts, and finally he was martyred in the Wal-Fajr 1 Operation in Fakkeh.

Also, as a member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, she rendered many services to the world Shiites in cultural fields.

Mrs. Yamamura (Saba Babaei), who had been admitted to Khatam Al-Anbia (p.b.u.h) Hospital for some time due to a respiratory disease, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, and joined her martyred son.
