To commemorate the second anniversary of the demise of Ayatollah Sayed Hadi Khosroshahi, the webinar “Man of Approximation Square” was held on Sunday evening, February 20, 2022, by the Office for Iran Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and similar institutions.
In this webinar, the head of the Office for Social and Political Affairs of the Qom Seminary emphasized, “Belief and love for Velayat-e-Faqih and obedience to the Supreme Leader, as well as sincerity, asceticism, humility and avoidance of fame were the characteristics of Ayatollah Khosroshahi.”
Referring to 10 characteristics of Ayatollah Khosroshahi, Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Hassan Zamani, said, “Tireless research and writing from the beginning of his youth and writing nearly 200 works, presence in international arenas, writing books on Christianity and interfaith dialogue, language learning and mastery of Arabic and English, translating books from English to Persian, were among the features characteristics of late Khosroshahi.”
“Other characteristics of the late Khosroshahi include his presence in the governing organizations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, using the facilities and capacity of these organizations to carry out religious mission, spreading the teachings of Islam and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school in the world, (While believing in approximation, he sought promoting the teachings of the AhlulBayt school), political thinking and revolutionary Islam, writing books about Sayed Jamal al-Din Asadabadi, the martyr Nawab Safavi, the Palestinian movement, etc., a serious belief in the approximation between Islamic denominations and practical efforts in this field,” he added.
“Other personality traits of Ayatollah Khosroshahi include innovation and initiative, establishment of a cultural institute and a large library in Qom, belief in Velayat-e-Faqih and love and obedience to the Supreme Leader, and finally sincerity, asceticism, humility and avoidance of fame,” Hojat al-Islam Zamani continued.
“Due to this asceticism and humility, Ayatollah Khosroshahi has remained anonymous and not only academics but also many seminarians do not know him. We hope that the society will use his valuable collection of writings, and that the seminary centers, especially the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, will play a role in disseminating his ideas throughout the society,” he stated in the end.
