The International Conference “Women and Holy Quds” was held on the evening of Tuesday, May 16, 2022, on the eve of World Quds Day, in the conference hall of the Palestine Intifada Conference.
Referring to the role of Muslim women in reviving the monotheistic school, Nafiseh Fayyazbakhsh, the advisor for women affairs of the president of the Islamic Azad University said at the conference, “According to Quranic verses, Asiya (Pharaoh’s wife) played a major role in reviving the monotheistic school of the Prophet Moses (a.s.). When Asiya believed in the authenticity of the call of the Prophet Moses (a.s.), she refused to renounce her faith, despite the most severe tortures.”
“From the beginning of Islam, women defended Islam alongside men. The role of women in Islam is very strong, and we see this prominent role in the events of Karbala. Leading women in the defense of Islam and the Infallible Imams (a.s.) have not been limited to the women of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). But other Shiite women, despite all the pressure, defended the guardianship of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” she continued.
“Following divine leaders, women persevered in defending religion. Movements are won in which, in addition to the determination of their leaders, there are women who support the resistance. Women play an important role in sustaining resistance movement. Women need to increase their insight,” added the advisor for Women’s Affairs to the President of the Islamic Azad University.
It worth mentioning that the International Conference “Women and the Holy Quds” is being held with the participation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and other similar institutions. Guests from Iran other countries attended the conference.
