The speeches of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in a meeting with the organizers of the “Conference of Hazrat Hamza (a.s.)”, which was held on January 25, 2022, were broadcast this Thursday morning at the conference venue in Qom.
In this meeting, while appreciating the commemoration of Hazrat Hamza (honorable uncle of the Prophet of Islam), Ayatollah Khamenei considered the scientific and research resources of this conference as a suitable ground for creating a culture and modeling of that great figure of Islam.
“Although Hazrat Hamza (a.s.) played a prominent role in the history of Islam, especially in his migration to Medina and his bravery in wars with infidels, but this valuable figure is not known enough. Therefore, the life of this noble man and other prominent but unknown companions of the Prophet, such as Ammar, Salman, Meqdad and Ja’far ibn Abi Talib, must be illustrated in artistic and theatrical formats,” he said.
“The purpose of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) in ordering the women of Medina to weep over the martyrdom of Hamza, and to introduce him as the “Sayed al-Shuhada (the master of the martyrs), was to introduce this brave and selfless character as a model in all ages and for all Muslims. The two most important role models in Mr. Hamza’s character are his cognition power and his strong will and determination,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Referring to a hadith from Imam Ali (a.s.), the Supreme Leader of the Revolution considered Hazrat Hamza (a.s.) as one of the ‘examples of sincere believers in the divine covenant’ and said, “Theological and propagation centers should make efforts to train personalities who are examples of divine teachings and Islamic rules. Because such personalities can save society in critical situations, and with them, the formation of Islamic civilization will be definite.”
