In this conference, Sheikh Abu Ali Behbahani, the head of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Assembly of Iraq, stated, “The factors of deviation and extremism have increased in recent years, and they are against the unity of Islam and Muslims. We hope to achieve unity on these occasions (the Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) birth anniversary and Unity Week), and with whatever religion we follow, we can be united for Tawhid (monotheism) and remove the dangers threatening Islam. This conference is one of the good efforts to strengthen unity and peace in our Islamic society, and we hope it will be developed under the banner of unified Islam.”
Also, Sheikh Omar Al-Jubouri from Iraqi Dar Al-Ifta in Diyala stated, “The purpose of this conference is to unite Muslims according to the Holy Quran and testify to the oneness of God. This testify brings us together and saves us from division. Iraq went through many seditions and the Iraqi nation has suffered a lot. Therefore, we are trying to hold these conferences and meetings. Tawhid is the word of unity between us. Therefore, we ask God that the results of this conference will lead to the unity of Muslims, and that harmony and peace will spread among all Muslims and the children of the Iraqi nation.”
It worth mentioning that the participants in this discourse conference emphasized on relying on all commonalities, putting differences aside, using all religious occasions to meet and congratulate each other, expressing concerns and problems and examining ways to solve them.
