The opening ceremony of the International Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), started, Tuesday morning, March 9, 2021, in the Quds Hall of Imam Khomeini Complex in Qom.
“From the time of the birth of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), Abu Talib was aware of his prophethood and believed in him after his Be’that. Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was a supporter of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h),” stated Hojat al-Islam “Abdullah Al-Daqaq” in the conference, referring to the characteristics of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.).
“Abu Talib (a.s.) was financially poor. But because of his personality, he became a senior of Quraysh and was named Sayed of Bat’ha. The ancestors of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) were Mowahed (monotheist). According to historical evidence, the relatives of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) were not Mushrek (polytheists) and except a small number of them, they were Mowahed (monotheist) people,” stated the dean of the Islamic seminary of the Aeme At’har (a.s.).
“From the time of the birth of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), Abu Talib was aware of his prophethood. When Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) took the Muhammad (p.b.u.h) to the Levant as a child, the Christian monk (Bahira) informed Abu Talib (a.s.) that Muhammad (p.b.u.h) would be the last Prophet,” stated Al-Daqaq, considering the birth of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) along with the miracle.
“When Mecca suffered a famine, Abu Talib (a.s.) swore by the soul of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) (and asked God) and it rained on Mecca. The ode of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) such as the ode of Lamie and the ode of Nunieh are the most important documents for the faith of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.),” he continued.
“The Mushrekin (polytheists) of Mecca made a pact with each other to boycott the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). But the termite ate this treaty and the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) informed Abu Talib (a.s.) about this issue. He came to the Mushrekin and said that if this had not happened, he would hand over the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) to them, otherwise they should lift the siege,” added the representative of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassem in Iran.
“The faith of Hazrat Fatima bint Asad is certain and the Sunnis accept it. A Muslim woman cannot have a Kafer husband, and Prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h) did not order the separation of Hazrat Fatima bint Asad from Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.). This is an indisputable reason for the faith of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.),” stated Al-Daqaq, referring to the reasons for the faith of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.).
“Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) called the year of demise of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) the Aam alHozn (Year of Sorrow), which shows Abu Talib’s position,” He pointed out.
