ABWA Official Website – On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the third international AhlulBayt (a.s.) Poetry Gathering with the theme: “Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.)” was held by ABNA News Agency in the meeting hall of the news agency, with the presence of poets from different countries. This international gathering was attended by Mortaza Heydari Al-e Kathir and a group of Arab religious poets from Iran, Iraq, and Syria.
In this gathering, Nazar Al-Kanani from Iraq, Youssef Sonduq from Syria, Hadil Al-Dulimi from Iraq, Abdullah Assad from Syria, and Meysam Hatem and Mortaza Heydari Al-e Kathir from Iran read their Arabic poems about the movement of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the Fortieth (Arbaeen) day of martyrdom of the Imam.
Arbaeen, a phenomenon beyond time
In a short speech at this gathering, Morteza Heydari Al-e Kathir, a prominent Iranian religious poet, pointed out the characteristics of Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) Arbaeen. “Arbaeen is a phenomenon beyond time. The duty of us, poets, is to write poems about the sorrows of AhlulBayt (a.s.), and it is an honor for us to follow this path.”
